Online Worship
March 29, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Facing our humanity is what my sermon will be about this coming Sunday as we contemplate John 11:1-45 with verse 35 stating that “Jesus wept.” Not only do we struggle to affirm our humanity, but we so often fail to see Jesus’ humanity. Knowing that God was human is significant as we live amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Jesus’ weeping strongly suggests that he knew disappointment, anger, pain, and grief, just as we do. Yet as Jesus was moved to compassion and action through sadness, we are invited to journey with him to Jerusalem.
Log on using Zoom Webinar or YouTube Live. Hopefully, transitions will be less distracting and the sound quality better as the music and Dhawn’s mindfulness prayer will be prerecorded. I will also be livestreaming from my house where I have fiber internet. We changed the order of worship with my sermon placed at the beginning, along with a prerecorded Time for Children by Dakota. Starting this Sunday, we will also have an opportunity after worship (about 10:45/11:00 am) to share our joys and concerns and to connect in prayer. Click here to connect on Sunday. Note that all these events and links are on the UPC website calendar.
